We usually just buy some slices of ham, but last year had the daughter outlaws parents staying from Australia, so did a gammon on Christmas Eve, with buttered leeks, honey roasted carrots and creamy mash, with a white sauce and a marmalade gravy. Outstanding, but the star of the show was the gammon, with ;ots left over to go with teh turkey and sandwiches for the rest of the week.
